Used to be a favorite place to go until our last visit when the owner Dan verbally expressed anger with us because he thought there were too many people at our table and the waiter was overwhelmed. (Over whelmed with the extensive tip money he got!!!) Won't go back. Dan is often inappropriate with women patrons as well.

We travel over 50 miles and look forward to our weekend night at Turtleheads. The food is great, the service is always with a smile and the atmosphere is like being on vacation. There's nothing else like it. What other restaurant owner greats you at the door. And no matter what gbbamorron says (obviosly a disgruntled employee) Dan is the perfect host.

I love this place. I live out of state and only get to stop there once a year. I always go with a large group of fellow canoe'rs. Dan always reserves a large table for our whole group. The service is great, food and atmosphere cannot be beat! Dan is a very fun guy. Our visit to turtleheads is always the first stop on our trips through Missouri. I do miss Dan's apron though! THANKS FOR THE GREAT TIMES DAN!
