Well, here I am, Nick. What's up now, bud?
Check this out:
After we got off the phone with Nick, we Googled the Rangleline store, specifically, as to not get redirected back to the "Distribution Center". We got a hold of the Pizza Hut across the road from our house, the Pizza Hut that was out of Pan. We did this on purpose.
We asked them, first, if they were out of pan. We knew they probably were. They said yes. We asked why they hadn't gotten more from another store, lets say, Webb City? They said they don't do that. We asked if they make it homemade. They implied they do. I am not convinced of this however.
The guy on the phone said they started to make a batch one hour ago, which would have been right about the time we called the distribution center, the first time, which would have been about 9:30 pm. He said that it takes about six hours to "proof" the dough.
Which means the dough is either thawing out, or there is just a really big batch of dough that needs to simply rise.
Of course, this sparked our curiosity as to why it took them until they ran out to begin making more. So we asked why they run out of Deepdish so often and why they don't keep enough in stock?
The guy said that they can only make enough dough for the amount of pizza they sold the day before. So, I wonder, did they run out yesterday too? A Saturday?
He said also, that they can only begin to make MORE after they officially RUN OUT, in the first place. Craziness I thought. And retarded.
So, the stores only make what they sell the day before, and even if they think they are going to run out before the night is over, they must wait until they run out before they can make more, even if it is the middle of the day.

So, we asked the guy on the phone at 17th and Rangline if he could give us Webb City's phone number. He said he couldn't because they do not have each other's nubmers. Whether or not I believe him is not the point. So, we Googled Webb City's number.
At which point, we were just going to see what they have to say. We really didn't care about the pizza at this point. We just wanted to see what would happen. So we called.
We asked if they had Deepdish. They said yes. I could have guessed this because when we lived in Webb, we NEVER had ANY problems with Webb City Pizza hut, EVER! They always had EVERYTHING you ordered. And if not, they made it RIGHT. Which, is proof tonight.
Currently, we live litterally next door to the 17th and Rangleline Pizza Hut. We decided to aske two impossible qustions to the person on the phone, of which we knew NEITHER one would get a yes to, because we knew they don't deliver out of thier territory, and two, we already had asked for severe discounts and got piddly ones.
The first Q we asked the guy on the phone at Webb City's Pizza Hut, (after telling him our enitre story of the night with the OTHER Pizza Hut's in town), was if he would deliver to us, even though we live roughly 15 miles away from him, out of his jurisdiction?
Before we could really finish the Q, he said... --- ... YES!!!!
*Sigh*
Wait. What?! He said yes.... YIPPEE!!
We still wanted a discount though, because now, it had been roughly one and a half hours of calling and getting no where for a silly pizza. It's Sunday night, we really didn't want to go anywhere at 9:30 pm. Let alone 11 at this point.
So, after orderering our order, AND GETTING IT DELIVERED TO JOPLIN FROM WEBB CITY, the guy on the phone gave us a $5 (FIVE) DOLLAR discount. Not much, bet hey hey. "Corporate" wanted to give us just $3 three and some stupid Cinna Sticks, of which we did get too. LOL.
Oh, and BTW, the guy on the phone in JOPLIN said they can't take orders over the personal phone, that it has to be redirected through the "Corporate Center". Lie.
We called Webb and ordered, had it delivered OUT OF JURISDICTION, and got a better discount.
Booyah!
So, rather than not tipping the delivery guy, we just gave the delivery guy basically the discount we got because it was almost 30 minutes past close when he delivered our food, let alone what time it would be by the time he got back to his store, and not to mention, we REALLY APPRECIATED IT.
Thank you Webb for being there when Joplin stinks.

After calling one hour ago to our local Pizza Hut (17th and Rangeline) to try to get a Medium Deepdish pizza, they told us they were out of that in Medium, and Large.
I will point out, however, that who I was talking to was the "Distribution Center" which is apparently also the "Distric Headquarters" for all the Pizza Hut's in the few states around us.
I know this because after the second time calling the "Distribution Center"...
(The first time being to simply place the order for my local Pizza Hut to then be told they were out of the main thing Pizza Hut sells.
In which case we told them that because we would have to drive to pick up pizza from another town, we would just go next door to Wal-Mart, which is 25 seconds away, to buy a Digorno.
"It's not delivery, it's Digorno...")...
Anyways, we called the Distribution Center again, a second time, this time to see if we could get the $21 dollar pizza for $12, because of our hassle, and having to drive TO ANOTHER TOWN.
At which time, the entry level pizza order taker put us on hold to talk to it's manager about giving us that type of discount. It said, after a brief moment on hold, "No".
The only thing it could do was give us a $3 dollar discount, and some cinnamon bread sticks. Of which, we already got bread sticks with our pizza. We kindly said back, "No, that will not work. Twelve bucks or bust." We got put on hold again, and again, the same reply, "No."
Then, we asked to speak to a manager. This manager, named Nick, after we told him our story, for a third tiresome time, told us that all he could do was give us a $3 dollar discount and some Cinnamon Sticks.
Again, we said that would not work. We asked to speak to his manager. We then find out that his manager was not in tonight, but would be in on Tuesday, after five. His name is Mark.
We then asked for corporate's number, because we were still not content about all the Joplin stores being out of the very pizza crust that they so patheticly advertise, daily, as their premier pizza crust, and then never have "enough" in stock when it comes time for the sad, little, brainwashed by advertisements, yuppies like myself who want to buy their over priced pizza. *sigh* :))
Nick told us that he could not give us a number to Corporate because 'they' were "Corporate" and that Pizza Hut does not really have a Corporate, per say. The Distribution Center doubled as the Corporate Headquarters for the Region.
Right, I got it: a convoluted mess to by pass any one to ever give a complaint to.
