Strong Armed Robbery at Cody's Store

On 01/16/2008 at 0358 hours a strong armed robbery was reported to the Joplin Police Department at Cody’s Convenient Store, 1832 S. Maiden Lane. The suspect entered the store and asked the clerk for change. When the clerk opened the cash register the suspect came around the corner and forcefully took an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late twenties, between 5’10” and 6’0” and about 150 lbs. The suspect was wearing a tan jacket with a darker (brown) collar, blue jeans, brown work boots and a black ball cap with an emblem or sticker on the bill. The suspect fled the scene in a newer model red car.
